Founders Brewing, the Grand Rapids, Michigan Brewery beloved by millions of craft beer fans in America, is stretching its reach one state further by adding the Rocky Mountain State of Colorado to its distribution footprint.
Partnering with Founders Brewing are multiple distributors, including Rocky Mountain Coors, High Country Beverage, Coors Distributing, Mountain Beverage, B&K, High Country Western Slope, and A&L Coors. These distributors will bring Founders kegs, bottles, and cans of all available products to the state of Colorado starting in October, 2018.
Founders CEO and Co- Founder Mike Stevens says the addition of Colorado to the Founders family is the fulfillment of a long- running business dream.
“We started this journey 21 years ago largely inspired by the craft pioneers out West in places like Colorado, California and Oregon,” said Stevens. “Ever since we started distributing outside of Michigan, we’ve had our eye on getting into Colorado. It may have a competitive market, but the Colorado craft fans are passionate, adventurous and have been very vocal in petitioning for our availability. We’re pumped to finally make it happen.”
Distribution to Colorado will begin in less than one month. To help celebrate the arrival of Founders beer, the brewery plans several launch events later in October. Details on these special events can be found online at foundersbrewing.com/events so if you live in Colorado, be sure to check this page periodically to see when and where launch events are planned.
With Colorado on board, Founders Brewing now enjoys distribution to 47 of the 50 U.S. states. Only Hawaii, Utah, and Wyoming remain Founders- free. Colorado has a strong craft beer culture and we at Great Beer Now were unaware that Founders beer wasn’t sold there. The addition of Colorado is excellent news for craft beer fans and it’s nice that the brewery answered the petitions of so many craft beer lovers in making the decision to work out distribution deals for the state.
Cheers to Colorado beer drinkers as they enjoy the amazing beers from Founders Brewing, one of the greatest breweries in the world!
