Austin, Texas- based Adelbert’s Brewery is best known for its Belgian- inspired brews, but the central Texas brewery has other, more mainstream products as well. One is a brand new release, complete with a non- profit partnership. The new beer is Buzzbait Blonde, a beer released in partnership with the Coastal Conservation Association Texas (CCA).
Buzzbait Blonde is a beer brewed for the season. It’s a blonde ale, as you probably already guessed, and is made for summer refreshment. The beer features flavors such as honey and peach with Sladek hops that help balance out the flavor profile. Adelbert’s Owner and Founder Scott Hovey says Buzzbait Blonde’s name relates to a popular summer activity in and around Texas.
“My brother was an avid fisherman who loved spending time on the water with a cold beer next to him. This beer honors his favorite pastime and is aptly named after a fishing lure he used, which also happens to be a great beer name,” said Hovey.
Part of the proceeds from sales of Buzzbait Blonde will go to CCA of Texas, a non- profit organization dedicated to environmental concerns. This is not the first time Adelbert’s Brewery has donated money to charity, nor will it be the last. Fans may recall that Adelbert’s donated a portion of sales from its popular Hibiscus Saison to the Breast Cancer Resource Center and Adelbert’s General Manager Sarah Haney says the brewery looks forward to this new charitable partnership.
“We have donated over $10,000 since we began our partnership with the BCRC. We are very excited about our new partnership with CCA and all the good we can do for a cause that was close to Del’s heart,” said Haney.
Buzzbait Blonde will be available across the state of Texas and will be one of several canned offerings from Adelbert’s. joining Mango Wit, Naked Nun and Hibiscus Saison in the brewery’s annual rotation. In a short time, Adelbert’s plans to add another canned beer, Lemon Rye, to its metal- packaged lineup.
Easy- drinking beers are the mainstay of the summer season and Buzzbait Blonde is a beer made to contrast with the intense Texas heat. Look for it in stores near you, and help support the Coastal Conservation Association of Texas with each refreshing sip.
