Adirondack Brewery, a craft brewer located in the picturesque mountains that bear its name, is honoring the heritage of the outdoor life and the mountain range that covers a large portion of its home state of New York with a collection of new 12- pack cases. Named “Adirondack Challengers”, the Fall and Winter collection 12- packs will depict actual citizens in challenging physical feats of endurance high in the Adirondack Mountain range.
“The Brewery has always wrapped its image with tales and stories about Adirondack history,” says Linda Wohlers, Creative Director for Adirondack Brewery. “Now, we are fast-forwarding into the present to celebrate actual people who have a passion for getting out into the mountains and on the rivers to challenge mother-nature- Not for glory, but because it’s there and they are going to do it.”
The Fall collection 12- pack will include bottles of the award- winning Dirty Blonde Ale, Bear Naked Ale, Beaver Tail Brown Ale and a mystery ale. The citizens depicted on the 12- packs include Robert Livingston, Jaime Murphy, and Scott Arno. Here is a quick bio for each:
Robert Livingston currently lives in Lake George, New York and makes a living as a licensed guide at Rocksport, a sports enthusiast retail store in nearby Queensbury, New York. Robert has been climbing all over the world, including such far- reaching locations as the Alps and Himalayas.
Jaime Murphy is from Queensbury, New York and works as a whitewater rafting guide during the warmer time of the year. When the snow and ice accumulate, she switches hats and works as a ski and snowboard instructor. She has an appropriate educational background with an Associate’s Degree in Adventure Sports: Leadership & Management from SUNY Adirondack. She instructs students on High Ropes, Rock Climbing, and Whitewater physical education and loves all things adventurous.
Scott Arno is from Potsdam, New York and is an avid mountain biker, rock climber, and mountain climber. While still in high school, he reached the summit of the 46 highest Adirondack peaks and today, he continues to fulfill his thirst for adventure through rock and ice climbing throughout the United States.
Once the Fall 12- pack has run its course, it will be replaced by the Winter Challenge mix featuring Dirty Blonde Ale, Bear Naked Ale, Blackwatch IPA and a mystery ale. This 12- pack will feature Ron Konowitz, a backcountry skier from Keene New York. Ron is president and founder of Adirondack Powder Skier Association and holds one unique distinction: He is the first person known to free ski all 46 Adirondack High Peak Mountains.
