Award- winning Allagash Brewing is one of the nation’s most respected and sought- after craft beer brands. The Maine- based brewing operation has been satisfying craft beer devotees for more then 25 years and starting in mid- October, its sought- after suds will be thrilling the folks in a new market when Allagash Brewing arrives in Florida.
If you have lived in Florida for a while and follow the craft beer scene closely, you might recall that Allagash beer was once distributed in Florida. A look back into the Allagash archives shows that the brewery was once part of Florida’s growing craft beer market. It was distributed here in 2002 and enjoyed an eight- year run. It was only pulled from the shelves to meet the high demands of other markets. Now that demands are met elsewhere, it’s time for Allagash to make a return visit to the Sunshine State, much to the thrill of craft beer drinkers from the Panhandle to the Keys.
Starting off the distribution effort will be none other than Allagash White, the brewery’s flagship beer and its most recognizable offering. Shortly afterward, Allagash plans to distribute River Trip, a dry- hopped session ale, followed by North Sky, an English style stout. Special edition beers will follow.
Allagash beer will be available in four packs of sixteen-ounce cans; twelve packs of twelve- ounce cans; and 19.2 ounce cans. The addition of Florida brings the total Allagash distribution footprint to 19 states, plus Washington D.C.
Allagash is a beloved craft beer brand and it’s great to know that Floridians everywhere can enjoy its craftsmanship once again. Look for it in stores and bars in a few weeks. For more information, be sure to visit Allagash Brewing online.
This is one of my all-time favourite beers, I think it’s more a nostalgia thing. Having moved from MA to NC, I was glad to see it was still available. Wish many other beers were more widely available.
Allagash is big in the Northeast. I would love to see them expand to Texas.
