
A celebration of canned beer, the 6th annual AmeriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival is scheduled for the Scottsdale Civic Center on Saturday, May 14 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Produced by HDE Agency in partnership with SanTan Brewing Company, the event will feature more than 250 rare beers from over 90 different breweries, offering guests a taste of American craft from across the United States.
The Scottsdale Civic Center, located at 3939 North Drinkwater Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, will be host to this weekend event celebrating canned craft beer with live entertainment, delicious food, VIP tent, beer science garden, and beer Olympic games. This year’s event will even include such new attractions as a mobile canning station and brewing demonstrations.

AmeriCAN is a celebration of canned craft beer first and foremost, but it’s much more. Competition is also part of the event and the day prior to the festival, certified craft beer judges will evaluate the beers available at the festival, selecting the best beers in multiple categories: IPA, American Pale Ale, English Pale Ale, Wheat Beers, Stouts and Porters, Ambers and Browns, Golds, Blondes, Pilsners and Light Lagers, Fruit, and Specialty Beer. The judges will award gold, silver and bronze medals and will announce the winners via live stream on May 13th at www.cannedcraftbeerfest.com.
General admission tickets can be purchased online at www.cannedcraftbeerfest.com for $35, a price that includes admission at 1 p.m., a souvenir can, and 20 four-ounce pours. Admission the day of the event is $45. VIP tickets can be obtained through the same link and sell for $100. For this premium price, VIP ticket holders get the same benefits as general admission plus one hour early admission (12 p.m.), catered food, a private VIP zone with private restrooms, and exclusive access to specialty beer not available to other festival goers.
This event is limited only to those age 21 and up with no exceptions. Ticket purchasers and all attendees must present a valid picture ID upon admission.
AmeriCAN Canned Craft Beer festival is also about giving and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Scottsdale Cultural Council and the Arizona Society of Homebrewers. The Scottsdale Cultural Council serves Scottsdale residents, visitors, cultural institutions and artists by creating and advancing high quality arts and cultural experiences and opportunities.
