Give the gift of beer, with Beer Across America
Do you like to try new things? Beer lovers often do, and they anxiously await any new offering from their favorite brewery or from a brand new brewery. The problem, of course, is that many new products are sold only in a limited area. What is a beer lover to do? One solution is to join a beer club and one of the first beer clubs in the business is Beer Across America, a club that brings craft beer to your front door each month.
Beer Across America is the beer connoisseur’s companion and the way it works is simple. Members sign up for a three, six, or twelve month membership to the club. They then select the desired shipping frequency (presently, either once per month or every other month, but this could change at any time), along with the month to begin shipments. Once payment is received, shipment can begin. Recipients will receive twelve bottles of craft beer each period for the duration of membership.
Beer Across America knows its members are fussy about their brew and thus it strives to select only beer products from award- winning breweries. The beer products are selected from two breweries, but there can be two styles from each. This is good, because it means more variety (up to four different beers) and more beer to sample. They also include a monthly newsletter that offers information about the brewery and products included in each shipment.
If there is any drawback to joining Beer Across America, it would be the same potential drawback with all online beer clubs: PRICE! Yes, you will pay a hefty premium (compared to the store price) for this service. The current bottom- line monthly charge is roughly $32 for twelve bottles of beer. Doing the math, this makes the beer about twice as costly as the craft beer sold at your favorite beverage store or supermarket. However, while this might seem uneconomical and silly, one must remember that the main idea behind this and other beer clubs is to get new products to your doorstep- products that you may otherwise never have a chance to sample. This fact, coupled with the convenience factor, makes the cost a little more justifiable.
Beer Across America offers its service to forty- seven of the fifty states. Alaska, Hawaii, and Utah currently are the only states that do allow shipments of beer from this beer club. With Alaska and Hawaii, the reason is proximity, but with Utah, the reason is pure stupidity and government control. More pressure needs to be exerted on the Utah government to end this and other ludicrous, controlling laws.
If you like beer or know someone who likes beer, a membership to Beer Across America makes an ideal purchase. You will sometimes receive beer that you have already tried before and the cost is rather expensive. But a world of adventure awaits you each month as Beer Across America strives to bring the wondrous world of craft brewing into your household.
