Craft beer lovers and committed foodies, take notice: A festival that incorporates delicious suds and innovative cuisines is coming to the California coast, in late summer 2017. I’m talking about the Brew & Food Festival, now in its third year and scheduled for the beautiful city of San Diego on Saturday, August 26.
San Diego is known all over the United States as a craft beer city par excellence and as the city is prepared to demonstrate, it is also great place for scrumptious eats. Produced by Motley Brews, the Brew & Food Festival will feature tastings of more than 200 craft beers along with tasty food samples prepared by more than 20 chefs from San Diego and surrounding areas. Motley Brews founder Brian Chapin says Brew & Food presents the ideal marriage between two bourgeoning industries.
“San Diego’s unparalleled craft beers and evolving culinary scene, which is so focused on the exceptional local flavors; are ripe for pairing,” says Chapin. “Brew and Food Festival is about exploring the potential of these collisions.”
To make the festival complete, Brew & Food will also feature live entertainment on two stages. In addition, guests can take part in the silent disco dome, with dueling DJs on multiple listening channels, allowing dancers the opportunity to select the music they like and groove to the tunes.
Tickets to Brew and Food Festival start at $35 plus fees for general admission. This base level includes admission to the festival between 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.; a tasting glass; unlimited beer samples; and, of course, access to the live music and entertainment. For even more hours of fun, the festival offers an early admission ticket for $45 plus fees, which includes entry at 2 p.m. and exclusive chef demonstrations. Bump up to VIP and for $80, you can enjoy additional benefits such as access to a special VIP area with a rotating tap of limited-release and unique beers, special beer inspired cuisine prepared by celebrity chefs and more.
