Cigar City Brewing, a Tampa, Florida craft beer mainstay and one of several recognizable members of the CAN’archy Collective, is ready to add one of its recent releases to its often sought- after 12 pack mixer. The newer beer is Florida Man Double IPA and it will soon find its place in the CCB Mixed 12 Pack, which will be released throughout the brewery’s entire 41 state footprint.
Variety beer packs are popular with consumers. The CCB Mixed Pack debuted in 2018 and it has been one of Cigar City’s top selling 12 packs since. Each 12- pack contains 3 cans each of four different Cigar City beers, led by the brewery’s flagship, Jai Alai IPA. The other two familiar beers in the 12 pack, Guayabera Citra Pale Ale and Florida Cracker Belgian style White Ale will remain. Space Pope IPA was part of an earlier edition of the CCB Mixer and will be replaced by Florida Man Double IPA.
Florida Man Double IPA was inspired by the unusual happenstance of Florida people making the news, often for outrageous reasons. We’ve all heard the news headline that begins “Florida man seen streaking in shopping mall” or “Florida resident tries his hand at alligator whispering” or some other attention- grabbing lead- in statement. The new beer pays homage to these freaks of nature with a big, bold taste featuring Citra, Azacca, El Dorado, and Mandarina Bavaria hops with an English yeast to add additional fruity notes to this satisfying, 8.5 percent alcohol by volume brew.
Neil Callaghan, Brand Manager at Cigar City Brewing, says Florida Man helps round out the style variety of the 12 pack while also standing out in the pack, like a Florida man should do.

Cigar City plans to roll out its new 12 pack mixer in select markets this month, throughout its 41 state distribution network. Look for it in places where Cigar City beers are presently sold.
