Not only does the Golden State overflow with natural beauty, but it is also one of the greatest places in the world for beer and dozens of amazing festivals are scheduled in California each year. One that is planned for spring takes place May 5, 6, and 7 in Santa Clarita. It’s the BBQ & Beer Festival, back for its second year.
The BBQ & Beer festival kicks into gear on Friday, May 5 with a celebration of malt beverages. This first day of the event will feature beer and cider from breweries both established and new, and it represents an excellent opportunity to discover new beer while also enjoying some beers you have grown to love.

On Saturday, the BBQ & Beer Festival turns into a more family- friendly occasion. The emphasis on this day is barbecue and families are encouraged to pay a visit and share some of the best barbecued meats and sauces the state of California has to offer. Like with the beer, there is a very good chance that more eateries will be added between now and the day of the event. There will still be beers to drink, as no barbecued meal is quite as good unless beer is included. There will also be a Kid Zone for the youngsters and live entertainment. Sunday will wrap up the three day extravaganza with a Blues, Brew & BBQ Festival featuring live bands like Tommy Castro & the Painkillers and others.
Tickets to the BBQ & Beer Festival can be purchased online right now. Friday beer festival tickets range in price from $20 to $40 and the BBQ Festival/Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival tickets are $10 each (please note that entry must be purchased per person for each day), with free entry for children age 12 and under. Tickets will be sold at the door, but advance purchase is recommended.
