America is home to more than 6,000 independent craft breweries. As any beer lover will attest, few things satisfy like a visit to one of these thousands of breweries and many memorable tasting moments can be traced directly back to a craft brewery experience in the brewery’s own tasting room.
Going directly to the source is often the preferred means to craft beer satisfaction, but there is another way to get your fill of craft beer and sample beers from multiple breweries at the same time, whenever you like. I’m talking, of course, about visiting a beer bar and as the number of craft breweries has increased exponentially over the years, the number of beer bars has followed suit, with thousands of these establishments opening up from coast to coast.
To help craft beer fans find the best places to enjoy a cold craft brew in an inviting atmosphere, CraftBeer.com—the Brewers Association’s website for beer lovers— took a survey asking its readers to select the best beer bars in the United States. From the nearly 8,000 survey results, Craftbeer.com has named the Great American Beer Bars, spotlighting one remarkable beer bar from each state. Craftbeer.com editor in chief Jess Baker says these bars represent more than just incredible beer, they also represent a place with excellent service, atmosphere, etc.
“CraftBeer.com readers have an extensive level of insight on what makes a beer bar truly stand out,” said Baker. “The Great American Beers Bars, selected by nearly 8,000 individual nominations cast by CraftBeer.com readers, are each stewards of quality craft beer and beer service. These outstanding beer bars, taprooms and brewpubs introduce their customers to new and exciting beer experiences, and have been integral to the success of the independent craft brewing movement.”
