Crooked Hammock Brewery Expands to North Myrtle Beach

Delaware’s Crooked Hammock Brewery is a destination of sorts. It’s one of those breweries that is much more than a place to grab a beer and pair it with a meal. It’s a place to unwind, play a round of cornhole, listen to live tunes and otherwise leave your troubles behind. And in early 2021, Crooked Hammock Brewery is going to expand its reach southward to the tourist destination of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, bringing its outdoorsy, backyard vibe to this popular coastal city.

Crooked Hammock Brewery’s new location will commence operations on Barefoot Landing and will include indoor and outdoor seating for more than 500 guests. The modern facility will feature a backyard beer garden, firepits, hammocks (of course!), bocce ball courts, cornhole, and a large playground for the kiddos, making it perfect for a family getaway.

Brewery owner Rich Garrahan says the new location is ideal for his brewery and he can’t wait to showcase new beers on Barefoot Landing.

“We are excited to bring Crooked Hammock Brewery to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. This location showcases our easy drinking craft beers freshly brewed on site with tastings and brewery tours. We will soon announce our Myrtle Beach inspired brew and can’t wait to share it with our South Carolina friends,” said Garrahan.

The North Myrtle Beach location will operate as a full- fledged brewery, complete with 10 fermenters, 2 brite tanks, and a 2- vessel 30 barrel brewhouse. The facility will brew over 4,000 barrels next year and will feature a tasting room and tours. The adjoining restaurant will feature the outdoor cookout inspired food that Crooked Hammock is known for and General Manager William Morris is anxious to get the new location up and running.

“We opened the Backyard Beer Garden Experience in July. We have enjoyed connecting with the local community and making friends of all ages while they spent the summer playing games, hanging out with the furry friends and enjoying a cold brew with us. We are currently hiring for all positions and look forward to welcoming new members to our team,” said Morris.

Crooked Hammock Brewery, North Myrtle Beach is scheduled to open in February, 2021. It’s going to be a great place for food, fun, and beer and a most excellent addition to Barefoot Landing. I can’t wait to check it out on my next East Coast beer adventure!
