Having regular date nights can be one of the best things that you can do if you’re in a committed relationship. According to a study, going on just one date night every month can help to strengthen your bonds and even help you stay together, so why not plan a fun beer night for your loved one? If you’re a couple who loves craft beer, having a date that involves your favorite beverage can be a fun way to spend time together. Here are some romantic date night ideas for couples who love beer.
Go on a Brewery Tour
In the first months of a new relationship, most couples will unabashedly announce their couple status to the world by buying and wearing matching clothes and having matching items to celebrate their relationship. But once they fall into a routine, the excitement slowly fades, and they fall into a comfortable companionship. While being at this stage in a relationship can be nice, it’s still important to make a little effort to keep your partner on their toes, and you can do that by surprising them with a weekend brewery tour.
If you’re in San Francisco, check out the SF on Tap walking tour and visit three of the best SF breweries and beer bars in the city. You’ll get to sample craft beer while industry insiders give you the story behind every brew. Meanwhile, if you’d rather ride a bike while going on a brewery tour, head to Colorado and go on a Beer and Bike tour. The Boulder Brew Cruise allows you and your partner to cycle through a picturesque, bike-only path while visiting three of the most notable breweries in Boulder. You may also want to check to see if there are any companies that offer brewery tours within your area.
Make Some Beer at Home
Staying home can be fun if you do something new together, so why not try making beer at home? Get a homebrewing kit such as the Mr. Beer American Golden Ale Complete Beer Making Kit or the Northern Brewer Craft Gift Making Set and try your hand at making your own brew. It may take a while before you can enjoy the fruits of your labor, so have some ready-made craft beer in the fridge, as well as some savory snacks, so both of you can satisfy your beer cravings later on.
Go on a Picnic
Instead of just heading to a restaurant to share a meal, why not plan a romantic picnic for your partner? Pack a picnic basket with some sandwiches, hand pies, a pasta salad, and some fruit and cheese, and don’t forget to place a few bottles of your favorite craft beer in a cooler. Bring an old blanket so you have something to sit on, then have your picnic in a place where drinking beer or any other alcoholic beverage is allowed. Even your backyard can be a suitable place for a picnic– just set up a tent or a teepee to make it extra cozy, then have fun talking, snacking, and drinking beer with your loved one.
Building a strong relationship takes effort and commitment, so make regular date nights a habit to keep the flames of love alive between you and your partner. Consider these date night ideas to surprise your loved one, and enjoy your beer while spending quality time together.
Great ideas! My husband and I really enjoy craft beer and trying out new kinds! I think we will have to go on a picnic soon 🙂
Yes, and breweries around the nation are slowly beginning to reopen so taking brewery tours is once again becoming a thing to do.
Going on a brewery tour is a great idea. I was fortunate (or unfortunate, depending on how you look at it) that last year a new micro brewery actually opened right next door to my work. I live in france where we need some more of the US mindset of looking at beer.
