‘No Way, Jose!’ We’ve all heard this common statement of defiance and we have all used it at one time or another to exclaim our complete disinterest, total disgust, or utter disregard with someone or something. Deep Ellum Brewing wants you to say ‘no way’ to something a little different as the brewery announces the release of No Way Rosé, an ale with an independent attitude yet friendly vibe hiding beneath its seemingly disagreeable persona.
Deep Ellum is based out to Dallas, Texas and as most craft beer fans are aware, this brewery is part of the CANarchy Collective. No Way Rose was brewed in collaboration among three of the CANarchy members: Deep Ellum, Oskar Blues, and Perrin Brewing. The goal was to create a beer to celebrate this union among breweries that are obviously well- attuned to their craft and supportive of each other, but still maintain an independent streak. Deep Ellum head brewer Kyle Wilborn says the new beer is a unique one, that is for certain, but it’s still a beer that is agreeable enough in taste that most everyone will enjoy.
“Born out of a conversation between new coworkers, No Way Rosé is a brew that has thrown out the book on conventional beer styles,” said Wilborn. “With the goal of brewing a unique but approachable beer featuring a heavy dose of organic prickly pear juice, Texas wildflower honey, rhubarb and hibiscus, this sessionable brew can best be described as a southwestern rosé ale.”
No Way Rosé has been described as a juicy, tart, and floral brew with a slight amount of honey sweetness. The beer contains 5.8 percent alcohol so it isn’t too strong or too weak. It will debut at the State Fair of Texas, held in Dallas from September 28 through October 21. Following the debut at the fair, it will be released on draft and in 6- pack cans throughout the state of Texas. It will also be available on tap at the Deep Ellum Brewing Taproom in Dallas and the Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom in Austin.
No Way Rose will make its mark on Texas in just a few short days so be ready to seek it out and enjoy the refreshment of this CANarchy collaboration. For more information, visit Deep Ellum online at www.deepellumbrewing.com/
