Deep Ellum Brewing, the Dallas, Texas based brewery that is one of several members of the Canarchy Craft Beer Collective, has released a 12- pack mixer that is certain to have IPA fans grinning from ear to ear.
The 12- pack mixer includes three cans each of four different Deep Ellum IPA beers, one of which is exclusive to this 12- pack. The four beers included in the mixer are:
Deep Ellum IPA– Of the four IPA in the 12- pack, this is the one most beer drinkers are familiar with. Brewed using several American hop varieties, this tropical, fruity, piney IPA beauty has all the character you expect in an IPA. And with 7 percent alcohol by volume and 70 IBU, it’s big on taste, like a Texas IPA should be.
Easy Peasy IPA– For the session IPA lovers among us, Deep Ellum offers you Easy Peasy. It’s brewed with Pacific Northwest hop, tangerine, and lemon peel for a fruit/hop personality. And with just 5.2 percent alcohol by volume and 40 IBU, it’s easy drinking yet not so light that it loses its character.
Dream Crusher Double Rye IPA– The biggest and baddest IPA in the bunch, Dream Crusher is a Double IPA with attitude. It’s a resinous, spicy, sexy brew and with 9.5 percent alcohol by volume and 100+ IBU, it’s a beer that, while a little intimidating at first, is one you’ll want to go back to, over and over again.
Deep Ellum White IPA– This is the beer I was referring to above- the one that is only available in these IPA variety packs. The novelty of this beer alone makes seeking out a Deep Ellum 12- pack worthwhile, but the taste is another reason. Deep Ellum White IPA is brewed using callista and ekuanot hops for a flavor profile like few others and with 7.8 percent alcohol by volume and 85 IBU, it ranks right up there with other IPA of this style.
