Destihl Brewery, the Normal, Illinois based brewing operation that can’t seem to keep up with demand for its beer, announced it is now heading to the United Kingdom and will begin beer shipments this week.
Destihl Brewery opened a brand new production facility last year in an effort to keep up with growing customer demand. The added capacity enabled Destihl to increase output by an amazing 97 percent over last year. Founder and Brewmaster Matt Potts says the added capacity has made international growth possible and has helped the brewery keep pace with domestic growth, which continues to move forward.
“Our brewery expansion is allowing us to grow significantly within our existing U.S. markets while also enabling us to pursue great opportunities in new U.S. and international markets which are seeking out our unique beers”, said Potts. “We are very excited in particular to directly export and launch our beers throughout the United Kingdom via The Bottleshop Limited, based in London, England”, Potts added.
If you haven’t heard of The Bottleshop, it is a unique distribution system that maintains a constant, cold temperature throughout the duration of the delivery. As everyone knows, heat and temperature changes in general are detrimental to the quality of beer. Once chilled, beer should remain chilled until it reaches your lips, for maximum taste and drinkability. The Bottleshop makes this happen through continuous refrigeration, all the way from the brewery to its final destination.
Destihl Brewery is best known for its Wild Sour series, which includes such beers as Here Gose Nothin’, Flanders Red, Synchopathic, and Blueberry Gose. Other equally remarkable beers in the Destihl lineup include core offerings like Weissenheimer Hefeweizen, Amra Mango IPA, Deadhead IPA, Moonjumper Milk Stout, and others. UK residents can expect to see all of these beers in the weeks ahead.
