Getting to go away with your other half is one of those exciting things that just never goes away no matter how many times you do it. A chance to really experience something new together, or perhaps show someone else somewhere you love and adore through your eyes. It can be a fabulous experience which is why it is always good to have the inspiration for different destinations to try for your next jaunt away. I thought I would focus on the states a little and a look a little closer at some of the best destinations for couples.
Florida
First of all i wanted to suggest Florida. Of course, if you are both big kids at heart then heading to Orlando is probably going to be right up your street. But if Disney or the Universal studios are not for you there are other things you can do in Florida. Florida has some of the best beaches in the world believe it or not. Fort Lauderdale and Clearwater beach are absolutely iconic destinations and you will regularly see them in top ten lists of great beaches. There are also lots of things to do including The Everglades or heading to the Florida Keys and lets not forget the fabulous adult playground city that is Miami.
Georgia
Georgia is one of those states that is perhaps missed off bucket lists and there is no reason why it shouldn’t be there. The capital of Atlanta is a roaring city filled with fabulous bars and restaurants and typical sights to see and witness. Staying close by to the airport at places like the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway is a great way to ensure that you have easy access to all of the locations you want to see here such as the Georgia Aquarium and also the Martin Luther King Jr national historic site.
California
Heading to the sunshine state could mean that you are in for lots of choice of where to go. Some couples use a trip over there to do a road trip of sorts where you travel to all of the popular destinations. You have, of course, got the popular Los Angeles, where you can enjoy Hollywood and Rodeo drive. But then you also have cities like San Francisco where the Alcatraz prison is a must, and places like Laguna Beach and Santa Cruz for a more coastal and relaxing vibe.
Texas
Texas is another place that is getting extremely popular as a holiday destination. Thanks to cities like Houston where you could actually go to Nasa, Austin for its live music scenes and Dallas is another popular location that has a bustling vibe to it. But there are also places like San Antonio which has a real mixed culture influence. The lovely Riverwalk promenade will have you stopping off at little boutiques and cafes to watch the world go by. Lastly, Texas may not be known for its beaches, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a fabulous coastline and South Padre Island is one of the best places to go.
I hope that this has given you some inspiration to consider these locations for your next couples getaway.
