Drake’s Brewing, the San Leandro, California craft brewery with almost three decades of experience, has announced the return of War Pigeon, its popular seasonal release, available now through the end of November.
War Pigeon is a Double IPA brewed with Styrian Cardinal, Mosaic, Chinook, and Pekko hops. Those who have been lucky enough to try it point out the beer’s pineapple and citrus notes, mild sweetness, and earthy finish. These qualities make it a good beer for drinking with fruity desserts, Mexican fare covered in mango salsa, or other spicy/fruity fare.
War Pigeon contains 8 percent alcohol by volume and is available in 22 ounce bomber bottles and on draft at Drake’s Barrel House, located at 1933 Davis Street in San Leandro, California and at Drake’s Dealership, located at 2325 Broadway Auto Row in Oakland, California. It can also be found on tap at select bottle shops and taverns on the West Coast.
Drake’s Brewing has been serving delicious craft beer since its founding in 1989. Its 1500 Pale Ale helped launch the brand and the brewery has since branched out in countless directions, brewing barrel- aged beers, sour ales, and traditional favorites.
