Founders Brewing, one of the best-known breweries in the state of Michigan and a brewery familiar to craft beer fans across the United States, has released another new beer. The new brew is Civilized Brut, a dry, sparkling India Pale Ale that will make drinkers forget about other IPA and possibly even forgo their next purchase of champagne.
Civilized Brut is Founders first official seasonal release in the 2020 Brand Calendar and like other brut IPA, the Founders version is bright, bubbly, and effervescent. It’s dry, crystal clear, and will remind many who try it of a fine champagne, at least in appearance. Founders Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki says this beer is made for refreshment and celebrations.
“Nothing says refreshment like a dry, sparkling, hop-forward IPA,” said Kosmicki. “Civilized Brut has just the right amount of bitterness and hop flavor to not overwhelm the clean and dry finish of this beer, while the high effervescence makes it feel like a party in every sip.”
As most craft beer fans already know, IPA is the most popular craft beer style, but brut IPA is a lesser known variation. Most every brewery has given into the New England hazy IPA craze but only a fraction of breweries have turned to brut IPA and Founders Brewing president Dave Engbers says this is one of the many facts that makes Founders unique.
“As the majority of brewers are introducing hazy, New England Style IPAs in the market, we have decided to take another road,” said Engbers. “Civilized Brut is a crystal-clear IPA that’s bursting with effervescence and elegant aromatics. Perfect for champagne and IPA aficionados alike.”
Founders Civilized Brut weighs in at 6 percent alcohol by volume and is available in 6 packs of cans, 15 packs of cans, and on draft throughout Founders Brewing’s far- reaching distribution footprint. It will be sold from now until March, 2020. It will be around for only a few months so be sure to get your hands on this latest Founders beer while supplies last.
