Founders Brewing never ceases to impress. Whether the Grand Rapids, Michigan brewery is releasing something brand new or tried and true, with Founders name on the package, you know it’s going to be good. One beer consumers have loved last year at this time is back for another run. The beer is Mosaic Promise IPA, a seasonal beer set for release from August through November, 2017.
Mosaic Promise IPA was originally released in 2014 and took its place as the official beer of ArtPrize. This is an international art festival that is scheduled each September in Grand Rapids and the new beer was a perfect match because it was not only delicious, but also artistic, with a label that was inspired by a stained glass window inside the Founders Taproom.
Starting in 2016, Mosaic Promise was added to the regular seasonal lineup and sold in six packs of 12 oz. bottles. Starting this year, Mosaic Promise will be sold in 15 packs of 12 oz. cans- the same packaging option already available for Founders All Day IPA, Azacca IPA, PC Pils, and Centennial IPA. The 15 pack is perfect for those times when you want just a little more beer (i.e, any time!) and the beer is great for those moments when you want an IPA that is just slightly lighter than the norm, but stronger than your typical session IPA.
Mosaic Promise is brewed using Mosaic hops and Golden Promise malt. That’s it- a single variety each of hops and malt. The combination of this malt and hop pairing results in a flavor that can be described as juicy fruit/mango with earthy pine. With an ABV of 5.5%, it’s also highly drinkable and only slightly more alcoholic than Founders All Day IPA.
Look for Mosaic Promise IPA in stores where Founders beer is presently sold. Don’t wait too long- the beer will be available only through November, 2017 so grab it while its hot.
