Founders Brewing in Grand Rapids, Michigan can always be counted on for delicious, well- crafted suds and even though the brewery has a substantial number of highly acclaimed beers, it doesn’t stop them from continuing to look for more ways to innovate and more ways to satisfy. And satisfy is exactly what Founders Brewing has achieved with its newest beer, Marvelroast, the latest addition to the Limited Series lineup.
Those of you are fortunate enough to live near the Founders brewing Detroit taproom might have already tasted Marvelroast. It was originally served here as an exclusive taproom offering and quickly became a crowd favorite. It is brewed with additions of coffee, vanilla, and cocoa nibs and plus milk sugar for a smooth finish. Marvelroast uses a golden ale as a base and the mixture of ingredients makes for a beer that many have said reminds them of a specialty coffee drink from a local coffee shop.
Founders Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki says the brewery is fortunate to operate a taproom in Grand Rapids and Detroit because both overflow with friendly but finicky craft beer fans, always ready to offer opinions on which beers are best.
“Having two taprooms full of craft beer connoisseurs is a real blessing for our team. We get a lot of great ideas and feedback and are able to do a lot of experimentation as a result,” said Kosmicki. “When a new beer gets great response in our taprooms, the logical move is to try to find a home for it in our distribution lineup. That’s what happened with Marvelroast. I think the perfect balance of coffee, vanilla and cocoa are going to make this beer a real treat this summer.”
Marvelroast follows 4 Giants IPA in the Founders Limited Series lineup. The 8 percent alcohol by volume brew will be available in 12 oz. bottles and will be sold in four packs. It will be distributed throughout Founders Brewing’s 50 state distribution and will be available starting in July of this year. Seek it out where other Founders beers are presently sold and revel in this latest deliciousness from our friends at Founders Brewing.
