Hawaii is known as a place with great natural wonders and in a short time, the Aloha state will be known for something else: Great beer, courtesy of one of the nation’s oldest craft breweries.
Full Sail Brewing, one of the most recognizable names in craft beer, will begin distribution to Hawaii later this summer. The Hood River, Oregon brewery will deliver Full Sail Amber, Classic IPA, Pilsner, Blood Orange Wheat, Session Premium Lager, Session IPA, Session Black and Session Mashup variety pack with Lager, IPA, Wheat and Cream Ale to the chain of islands via Paradise Beverages, Hawaii’s premier craft-beer distributor with over 400 employees statewide. Barney Brennan, Full Sail’s sales manager for Hawaii and a brewing veteran of both Hawaii and Oregon, says the time is right to bring Full Sail beer back to America’s southernmost state.
“We’re proud of our Oregon heritage as a craft-brewing pioneer and we want to bring something genuine and worthwhile from Oregon to Hawaii,” says Brennan. “The beer culture has grown so much here due to the high-quality local brewers and exceptional people, and we look forward to sharing in and supporting this movement,” Brennan adds.
Quality is important at Full Sail Brewing. Consumers will be happy to know that Paradise Beverages will cold ship and cold store Full Sail beer during the distribution process. This guarantees the highest possible level of quality and should eliminate any customer worries about the beer getting warmed and re-chilled, possibly multiple times, during the long voyage from Oregon to Hawaii.
Full Sail beer was sold in Hawaii back in the 1990’s and there are certainly some Hawaiians who remember when it was sold there and look forward to its return. For the younger generation, Full Sail will represent something new and Brennan is completely convinced that Hawaiian residents and the island’s thousands of tourists will appreciate what Full Sail brings to the table.
“I believe in what we do and how we do it,” Brennan says, “and I want to share that with locals and visitors in this amazing place.”
