Louisville, Kentucky based Goodwood Brewing and Spirits is demonstrating, once again, its commitment to local communities.
May is National Foster Care Awareness Month. In recognition of the importance of foster care, Goodwood Brewing is partnering with the Foster Care Council (FCC) and will serve a special beer at each of the brewery’s Kentucky locations. One dollar of every point sold in the month of May will be donated to the FCC.
Chris Sparks, Goodwood Brewing’s VP of Restaurant Operations, is thrilled to once again partner with FCC after a fruitful alliance in 2021.
“After a successful partnership last year, we decided to grow our support for 2022. We’ve worked with the FCC team to produce the perfect beer to kick off summer and help raise awareness for a great cause.”
The Foster Care Council is a non-profit organization that aims to provide support to foster children throughout the state of Kentucky. The FCC works to furnish academic counseling, clothing, and general mentorship to foster kids. These are children who have been removed from their home due to abuse, abandonment, neglect, etc.
Last year’s partnership was a further collaboration called “Cram the Van.” This event brought Goodwood Brewing and FCC together with On Tap Tours. It’s an opportunity for citizens to further show their support by bringing along donations of supplies. This year, the plan is to host another Cram the Van event on June 11 at Goodwood Lexington.
Goodwood Brewing will release its charitable beer, “Berry Special Saison”, at Kentucky locations on May 1, 2022. The FCC team plans to visit each of the three Goodwood locations (Louisville, Frankfort, and Lexington) during the month of May to show support, answer questions, and raise awareness for the cause.
