Goodwood Brewing, a Louisville, Kentucky based craft brewer best known for its wood aged beer and the limestone water it uses in the brewing process, has announced its plans to expand to one of the nation’s largest beer markets.
Partnering with Favorite Brands of Dallas, Texas, Goodwood Brewing plans to make its way into the Lone Star State of Texas. The distribution will be limited at first, but the goal is to reach every nook and cranny of the state in due time. Goodwood’s wood- accented beers have already won over countless fans and CEO Ted Mitzlaff is excited to open another market to his brewery’s unique products.
“We are excited to be opening the Lone Star State. Our barrel aged and touched by wood products continue to gain fans throughout the U.S. Texas is a great state and should be a tremendous market for us. Partnering with Favorite Brands is a wonderful opportunity as they have a proven record of success and a great team” said Mitzlaff.
Favorite Brands plans to kickoff the Goodwood Texas invasion with two of the brewery’s core brands: Bourbon Barrel Stout and Hemp Gose. Both will be packaged and distributed in draught and in cans and it will be the first time that Bourbon Barrel Stout has been offered in canned form. Eventually, Goodwood plans to distribute even more of its lineup, which would include such fan favorites as Walnut Brown Ale, Louisville Lager, Spruce Tip IPA, and others.
With the addition of Texas, Goodwood beer is now distributed to thirteen states: Alabama, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. If you live in Texas, be on the lookout for special launch events throughout the state in the coming weeks.
