Grand Marnier is an iconic premium liqueur. A tasty blend made from cognac and Caribbean oranges carefully aged in oak barrels, Grand Marnier was first created in 1880 and since that time, it has become a mainstay in most every bar or restaurant in the United States.
Disclosure: I received some of the ingredients to make this drink directly from the manufacturer as part of a campaign. All thoughts/opinions are 100% my own. This drink is intended for those age 21 and up or those who have reached legal drinking age in their respective countries. Please Drink Responsibly!
Grand Marnier is usually used for exotic drinks combined with assorted liquor and other mixers. But there are other drinks made with Grand Marnier that feature beer and even cider along with other ingredients, like the new Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach, a variation that was just introduced recently and is sold on its own and in special gift packs like the one you see pictured above. Here at Great Beer Now, we got our hands on one of these gift packs and, using some bottled beer, cider, and other ingredients we were able to mix up some interesting drinks using the included drink suggestion guide. Here are three of them:

Grand Marnier Shandy
- 1.5 oz. Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge
- 6 oz. wheat beer
- 0.75 oz. fresh lemon juice
- Orange slice for garnish
Pour beer in a pink shaker or other glass and add lemon juice. Top with Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge and garnish with an orange slice.
This drink will taste dramatically different based on the type of wheat beer you choose. I find it works best with am American wheat ale like Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat or Firestone Walker Solace. Hefeweizen style beer may not work as well, but only your individual palate can make that determination.

Raspberry Peach Boilermaker
- 1.5 oz. Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach
- 6 oz. hard cider
- Lemon wedge for garnish
Pour cider into a tall glass over ice. Top with a shot of Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach then garnish with a lemon wedge.
Like the drink above, this one will taste different based on the type of cider used. I recommend using a dry cider, as the sweetness from the Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach will offer good contrast.

Raspberry Peach Spritz
- 1.5 oz. Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach
- 1 oz. cranberry juice
- 2.5 oz. club soda
- Lime wedge for garnish
Pour Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach and cranberry juice over ice in a small glass. Stir then top with club soda. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Okay, this drink doesn’t contain any beer or cider, but I included it anyway due to its refreshing qualities. With flavors of raspberry, peach, and cranberry coupled with the spritzy refreshment of club soda, it’s a drink most anyone will like.
