Great beer festivals continue to spring up across the United States and most just keep getting larger and more impressive with each passing year. This is certainly the case with the Great Vegas Festival of Beer, a beer festival now in its seventh year that has been expanded to two days: Friday April 7 and Saturday, April 8.
Great Vegas Festival of Beer is produced by Motley Brews and organizers anticipate this year’s festival as the largest yet, with estimates of about 10,000 attendees. Motley Brews founder and CEO Brian Chapin says this festival is about much more than drinking beer- it is also about knowing your beer on multiple levels.
“Great Vegas Festival of Beer was founded to enhance the beer drinking experience,” said Chapin. “This year we’re taking that premise to a new level through the addition of a Friday night event, the Mad Craft Experience, which is basically a science fair for beer lovers. Both days will go beyond samplings to explore new types of experimentation with beer.”
The all- new Mad Craft Experience will take place Friday, April 7 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. and will feature beer pairings with different foods, interaction with top chefs, pours of rare and hard to find beers, and appearances from special guests. The Great Vegas Grand Tasting will take place on Saturday, April 8 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with early, 2 p.m. entry available for early admission ticket holders.
Las Vegas is home to about a dozen or so craft breweries and most every one of them will be present, showcasing some of their finest suds. In all, the Great Vegas Festival of Beer expects more than 110 breweries present, pouring over 500 different craft beers. Tickets range in price from $40 to $85, with separate admission available to each session plus VIP tickets available for those who want the full experience.
