Storytelling is an art as much as a science. Getting the facts straight sometimes matters, but what also matters is the delivery, animation, and drama because they all combine to make a great story that much better. Harpoon Brewing knows all too well the contribution that beer makes to any great story and the brewery is tipping its hat to beer stories with a little story of its own as it celebrates 30 years in business.
Beer is the foundation of many great stories. You don’t hear people start off a story with “I was eating potato chips one day and…” No, a great story starts with a drink and Harpoon is asking beer drinkers everywhere to share their own beer- related stories. The Boston- based brewery is compiling these memorable tales on a special web page created just for the cause. The site is www.harpoon30.com and it will include stories from Harpoon’s own dedicated staff as well as stories from beer drinkers anxious to share.
To help encourage beer drinkers to dip into their collective memories and remember those special moments, Harpoon is releasing the Harpoon 30- pack. This limited edition mix contains 2 bottles each of 15 different Harpoon beers. Harpoon decided to let employees decide which beers to include in the sampler pack and they selected some great ones from both the past and present. Harpoon has planned a special 30th celebration launch party for Thursday, October 13 at the Harpoon Beer Hall in Boston. More information on the event can be found at http://harpoon30.com/october13 .
Every one of us has a great beer story worth sharing. Harpoon and its employees have heard many great beer- induced narratives over the past three decades and they want to hear you tell your own beer story as you recall it. If you need a little inspiration, grab a Harpoon 30 pack sampler, open a few bottles, and create a brand new beer story if necessary. Beer is the great social lubricant and Harpoon welcomes you to share a piece of your lifetime novel as the brewery celebrates thirty years of tasty suds.
