Organizers are also sponsoring a homebrew contest with the winner to be announced at the festival. In addition, the event is sponsoring a BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) best beer in show contest. Any brewery in the nation can enter with the winning brewery/beer announced at the festival. The winning entry will be available for sampling so event goers can partake in the celebration and discover some amazing beer in the process.

Charity is Core

Katy Wild West Brew Fest is organized by the Katy Rotary and it is one of the few beer festivals that donates all of its proceeds to charity. Recipients include local charities, non- profits, and educational opportunities for disadvantaged children.
