Kona Brewing Company, the best known and most widely distributed Hawaii- based brewery, has announced the return of Lemongrass Luau for the summer season.
Lemongrass Luau made its debut in the American mainland last summer and popular appeal has convinced the folks at Kona Brewing to release the beer for another season. An easy- drinking blonde ale, Lemongrass Luau is like a taste of Hawaii in a glass. The beer is laid back and highly quaffable, containing just 5 percent alcohol by volume and only 20 IBU of bitterness.
Lighter, more refreshing beers are commonplace during the warmer summer months and Lemongrass Luau easily qualifies as a summer brew. The ale is made with lemongrass, obviously, but also contains a touch of ginger for added spiciness and refreshment. The beer is part of Kona Brewing’s Aloha series, which is a special lineup of beers tailored to the different seasons. And with its emphasis on drinkability, Lemongrass Luau is the type of beer that is compatible with just about anything, from lunch or dinner to relaxing by the pool or chilling with friends.
Kona Lemongrass Luau will be available in six packs or on draft throughout the summer, where Kona beers are presently sold. To find Lemongrass Luau near you, consult the Kona Brewing Beer Finder online at www.konabrewingco.com/find-beer.
