Australia’s bushfires devastated the nation and while they are under control at present, it will take a lot of time and money to restore the land to its original luster and one brewery ready to aid in the process is Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery. Through the Resilience campaign, Lakefront plans to raise money for a full week in support of the cause.
Many of you might recall that Sierra Nevada originated the Resilience program in 2018 in response to the California Camp Fire and its extensive damage. Breweries
across the United States responded, brewing Resilience IPA and donating proceeds from the sale to this cause. Now, the Resilience Beer project is continuing with aid for Australia and unlike the last effort, this one is international in scope, with breweries around the world doing what they can to raise money in support of restoration and relief.
Lakefront Brewery plans to raise funds starting today, February 23, 2020 and continuing through Saturday, February 29. As part of its efforts, Lakefront is offering special prices on its two flagship beers, Riverwest Stein and IPA at the brewery’s main location. The beers will be sold for just $3 per pint and Lakefront plans to match each $3 pint sale with another $3, with all the money going to the Resilience Fund.
Lakefront Brewery founder and President Russ Klisch says his brewery is ready to do its part to help the affected Australian communities.
“What Australia had to endure is a terrible tragedy, we’re glad that the Resilience Program exists to help the craft brewing world band together to provide the much-needed support”, said Klisch.
Lakefront Brewery would love to see Milwaukee’s craft beer crowd show up and drink one of these two delicious brews in support of this important cause. Just $3 gets you a pint of delicious craft suds and will result in a $6 donation to the Resilience Fund.
