Grapevine, Texas, the Dallas suburb known for the large Gaylord Texan Resort and for its close proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, is ready to entertain at Grapevine’s 33rd Annual Main Street Fest- A Craft Brew Experience, scheduled for May 19- 21, 2017.
Main Street Fest has been rockin’ downtown Grapevine for more than three decades and this years’ family- friendly celebration has something in store for everyone. Craft beer fans are in for a real treat as Texas- based, regional, and national beer brands will be available, with representatives pouring their own crafted suds and answering questions. Guests will receive a souvenir Belgian- style tasting glass good for eight, 3- ounce pours of any beer of their choosing. Additional tastings can be purchased separately. Guests can sip on familiar favorites or venture outside of their comfort zone and try something brand new. There will be several limited release beers on tap, many of which are not available elsewhere in the state at this time.
Music is an important part of any festival and Main Street Fest will keep guests humming along with music on three stages: Audi Grapevine Main Stage, Sierra Nevada Gazebo Stage, and the Sierra Nevada Gazebo Stage. Occupying these elevated platforms will be Sundance Head, the Season 4 winner of television’s The Voice; Freedom- the George Michael Tribute Band; and others. And to get the audience involved, Main Street Fest announces the return of a crowd favorite, the 4th Annual DFW ICON vocal competition. The singing contest is open to anyone between 7 and 30 years of age with prizes that include recording with award- winning producers, image consulting, and more.
Kids will enjoy Main Street Fest, too, and they will love spending time in the KidZone. Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium will feature its popular touch pool and Legoland will sponsor a Discovery Center Junior Builder Competition. New this year will be an exhibit of farm animals from nearby Nash Farms and a special selection of child’s rides and games will keep the kiddos entertained.
