Craft beer lovers in Indiana and Ohio will soon find another out- of- state beer available in their favorite tavern or retail store.
Maui Brewing Co., the Hawaii- based brewer of tropically- oriented beers, has announced distribution plans that will bring the company’s beer to these neighboring Midwest states. Cavalier Distributing, the company responsible for bringing Maui Brewing beer to Florida, has inked an agreement to distribute to Indiana and Ohio. The new beer will arrive beginning the week of July 4, 2016.
Maui Brewing plans to begin with its popular flagship beers, which include Bikini Blonde Lager, Coconut Hiwa Porter, Big Swell IPA, and Pineapple Mana Wheat. Pete Scheider, National Sales Manager for Maui Brewing, is pumped for the expansion and knows the craft beer fans in these Midwestern states will not be disappointed.
“Maui Brewing Co. is excited to be partnering with Cavalier Distributing and expand into Indiana and Ohio. We’ve received many requests from Midwest fans, and we are happy to be able to share our Hawaiian beer with them,” said Scheider.
Maui Brewing has witnessed significant growth over the past few years. Just recently, the company expanded its production facility increasing capacity to nearly 100,000 barrels. The projections for 2016 call for 45,000 barrels of beer and, with the added space, Maui Brewing plans to expand its product offerings to include distilled spirits, craft soft drinks, cider, and mead.
With the addition of Indiana and Ohio, Maui Brewing has now stretched its distribution footprint to 19 U.S. states with more to follow in the coming years. Cheers to all you Buckeyes and Hoosiers, and enjoy your newfound taste of the tropics!
