Oskar Blues Brewery, the Colorado craft brewery with a large and loyal following, has just introduced a new, rotating series of IPA beer. The new series is called Can-O-Bliss and the first beer in the series, Tropical IPA, has already been launched with others to follow.
Oskar Blues Head of Brewing Operations Tim Matthews says the new series is an excellent way to showcase the greatness of hops throughout the year.
“The Can-O-Bliss Series is a way for us to celebrate hops all year long,” said Matthews. “We’re bringing unprecedented combinations of hops to the table to create three unique IPA experiences with very different flavor profiles. IPA lovers will want to follow along with the series to see what happens next.”
As Matthews alludes to above, there are going to be two other Can-O-Bliss releases in the coming year: Hazy IPA and Citrus IPA. Each release will be distributed throughout the Oskar Blues network in draft and in 6 packs and 12 packs of cans. The Can-O-Bliss beers will also make their way into the CANundrum mix 15 pack, perfect for sampling this and other Oskar Blues beer.
Oskar Blues plans to brew the Can-O-Bliss series at all three of its brewery locations. To add to the hoppy goodness, Oskar Blues has invested in special centrifuge equipment that is designed to remove solids but leave the delicious, flavorful hop oils behind. This will help to further maximize the hop flavor in each of the three Can-O-Bliss IPAs.
Can-O-Bliss Tropical IPA leads the series and is already available in stores. The 7.2% alcohol by volume IPA is a juicy, orange- hued brew made using Mosaic, Azacca, Galaxy, El Dorado, and Idaho 7 hops to produce a beer that is fruity, tropical, and aromatic.
