Oskar Blues Brewery made the move into the world of hard seltzer less than two years ago with its Wild Basin brand. Now, the Colorado- based brewing operation is set to release new flavors of hard seltzer and a new assortment 12- pack mix.
The new 12- pack offering has been dubbed the Berry Mix pack and it contains three cans each of four different flavors: Yumberry, Strawberry Coconut, Blueberry Mango, and Black Raspberry. The Black Raspberry was released previously but the other three are new to the Wild Basin lineup. Like all the Wild Basin flavors, these new additions stay true to the brand’s standards, with 5 percent alcohol by volume and only 100 calories and one gram of carbs per 12 oz. serving.
Here’s what consumers can expect taste- wise from each Wild Berry pack flavor:
Yumberry: Have you ever heard of a yumberry? I haven’t either. But this is an actual, subtropical fruit popular in China. It serves up a cranberry-like tartness.
Blueberry Mango: It might sound like an unusual combination of fruits, but blueberries and mangoes mesh better than you might imagine. At least, in the realm of hard seltzer, that is.
Strawberry Coconut: A more common taste pairing, sweet strawberries are matched with hints of coconut for a tropical, dessert like flavor.
Black Raspberry: A popular favorite in the Wild Basin lineup, Black Raspberry features the taste of freshly picked berries with a flavor that is reminiscent of fruity jam/jerry with subtle tartness.
The Wild Basin Boozy Sparkling Water Berry Mix Pack is on its way to retail outlets as we speak. Look for it in places where Wild Basin products are currently sold beginning in mid-January and continuing through the end of the month.
