Oskar Blues Brewery is moving forward with its next series of beer, and this one is certain to thrill the barrel- aged loving crowd. The new family of beers is the BA20 Series and the first release is All Monde, available in 4- packs of 12 oz. bottles right now, across Oskar Blues distribution footprint.
Ten FIDY Barrel Aged Imperial Stout is the beer most often associated with Oskar Blues and barrel aging. It is from this beer that Oskar Blues brewing team drew its inspiration to create more barrel aged brews. And to add to their experimental imaginations, they were presented with a Spinbot 5000, an infusion tank made popular by Cigar City Brewing.
All Monde was created by filling the Spinbot with toasted almonds and Madagascar vanilla beans. Then, brewers transferred an imperial stout aged for nine months in oak barrels into the Spinbot. The result is a big, complex stout with an overload of nutty vanilla flavor.
For packaging, Oskar Blues is doing something a little different. Yes, they are still going to use cans, but the can design is something completely new and edgy. You can take a look at the picture above and judge for yourself. The artwork features two people- like figures surrounded by vanilla flowers and almonds. It’s very reminiscent of something from the late 1960’s.
All Monde is the first BA20 release of the year. There will be three more releases before 2020 comes to close. For now, be sure to seek out All Monde on your next beverage store visit and savor the barrel aged goodness of this latest Oskar Blues masterpiece.
