Winter beers tend to lean toward the heavier, more alcoholic side of the equation and Perrin Brewing has introduced two new beers for the cooler months, both certain to make you feel warm and fuzzy while the frigid winds blow. The two beers are Perrin Reserve and Malted Milk Ball.
Perrin Reserve 2020 is a big, bold beer; a triple mashed Russian Imperial Stout that is aged in bourbon barrels for added flavor and character. It is brewed using honey, golden raisins, and caramelized lactose sugar. It packs a wallop at 12.8 percent alcohol by volume. Malted Milk Ball is a malt beverage version of the classic candy we have all grown to love. It is brewed using lactose, vanilla, and cacao nibs and is aged in oak bourbon barrels. It also commands your respect, weighing in at 12 percent alcohol by volume.
Rather than sell these two seasonal beers separately, Perrin Brewing is offering them as part of a package set containing a bomber bottle (22 oz) of each along with a 10 oz. glass. Director of Brewing Operations Connor Klopcic says the decision to package as a pair with a glass is ideal for the holidays.
“We chose these two beers to go into one pack because they are both great to drink and share during the holiday season. The weather gets cold and the dark beers come out,” said Klopcic. He added that, due to their flavors, they are great to pair with chocolate or a sweet dessert.
The Perrin Barrel Aged Specialty Pack is available right now at the Perrin Pub. It can also be found throughout Michigan where Perrin Brewing beer is currently sold. The package makes a great gift for the beer lover in your life so seek out this limited-edition package while it’s still available.
