Birthdays are always a cause for celebration and in the great state of Michigan, one local brewery is about to turn seven years of age. Lucky 7 is the age of Perrin Brewing and the folks at Perrin have an evening of fun planned for Saturday, September 14 from 4pm to 11pm.
Perrin Brewing encourages everyone age 21 and up to attend the birthday bash and to increase the fun and memories, the theme of the birthday party will be Area 51. Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed in Area 51 garb and prizes will be awarded to those with the best costumes.
Music will be a major part of the memories on September 14, 2019. Here is summary of the musical lineup:
Paradise Outlaw: This Grand Rapids based band is ready to rock your soul with the sound of country rock tunes.
The Hacky Turtles: Another Grand Rapids Band, this musical outfit will arouse your senses with a mixture of Alternative funk and rock.
Jake Kershaw: Easily the youngest in the lineup at only 18 years of age, Jake isn’t even old enough to drink beer. But he is old enough to play classic blues and rock and old enough to perform for craft beer fans and he impresses everywhere he goes.
Hollywood Makeout: Another band hailing from Grand Rapids, this group specializes in Indie surf rock.
Kosmic Mama & the Holding Co: This all-star band features a flurry of Grand Rapids musicians who have joined together as a tribute band for Big Brother & the Holding Co./Janis Joplin.
No brewery birthday bash would be complete without a special beer and for this occasion, Perrin Brewing brings you Storing the Gates Area 51 Experimental NEIPA. This limited release New England IPA is brewed in partnership with HOPSTEINER, a hop specialist, and features flavors like pineapple, citrus, and lemon. But that isn’t all: Perrin Brewing will also serve other special brews for the night, among them 2019 Malted Milk Ball Imperial Porter; multiple variations of No Rules Imperial Porter; New fall flavors of Clear Coast Fresh Hard Seltzer; and a limited release beer brewed in collaboration with Oskar Blues Brewery called “Skin That Smoke Wagon and See What Happens!,” a collaboration brewed in the style of an Imperial Red Ale with smoked cherries coated in bourbon barrel-aged honey.
Food trucks will be on hand to serve you and they include such area notables as Gettin’ Fresh, The Everyday Chef & Wine, Bobby’s Fusion Grill, and Icebox Brand Ice Cream Bars. Local vendors will have t-shirts and koozies for sale along with a cigar rolling lounge. There will even be a cornhole tournament, but you must pre- register here before the September 9 tournament registration deadline.
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased online here for only $7 or at the gate for $10. With so much great beer, food, games, music, and the Area 51 Alien theme, Perrin Brewing’s 7th Anniversary Bash is a party you don’t want to miss so mark your calendar and head to Comstock Park, Michigan for an unforgettable evening as Perrin Brewing turns seven years of age.
