Perrin Brewing is ready to help Michigan residents and others feel a little warmer this season, or at least help them forget about the frigid weather ahead. The solution?- Arctic Chill New England IPA, Perrin’s latest release in the brewery’s Side Hustle Series.
Winter seasonal beers are often spicy, dark, and heavy, but this beer is different. Arctic Chill is an interesting variation of the popular New England IPA style that uses winter wheat, which helps to create a lighter, fluffy body much like a batch of freshly fallen snow. The hop bill includes Hallertau Blanc and Michigan Copper, a combination that delivers floral and fruity flavors certain to help you chill out while you deal with the chilly temperatures outside.
Arctic Chill follows S’more Stout, the previous Side Hustle release. The latter featured flavors of chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers for a delicious, next- to- the- fire treat. Arctic Chill is quite different and, once again, it showcases Perrin Brewing’s creative side. Craft beer fans can expect to find a different Side Hustle release every two months, each of them the direct result of what can happen when talented brewers are allowed creative latitude.
Arctic Chill New England IPA weighs in at 7 percent alcohol by volume. It’s available right now at the Perrin Pub on draft and can be found in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans throughout the state of Michigan over the next few weeks. Grab a draft serving or six pack when you get the chance and feel those winter blues dissolve away.
