Seattle- based Reuben’s Brews, a family-owned and operated Pacific Northwest brewery, is ready to delight craft beer fans and pay homage to its own brewing and business philosophy with the release of a new beer, Reuben’s PNW Crush™. This new release emphasizes Reuben’s commitment to agriculture and community, relying on locally sourced ingredients to produce its distinct flavor.
Adam Robbings, co- founder and Brewmaster at Reuben’s Brews, says this new beer embodies what the company is founded on and what matters most to its mission.
“Our brewery is fortunate to be located in an area with agriculture as bountiful and diverse as the Pacific Northwest, which means access to fantastic, locally-grown hops and malts,” said Robbings. “We created the Reuben’s Crush® series specifically to highlight the hazy style and the unique hops and malts used in this style of brewing. Reuben’s PNW Crush is our distillation of what it means to be a brewery in the Pacific Northwest. We hope people enjoy the beer and feel connected to both the agriculture and lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest.”
Reuben’s PNW Crush is a hazy IPA and it follows in the footsteps of other beers that have been part of the brewery’s Crush series. Each beer in the Reuben’s Crush lineup is experimental and there have been other hazy IPAs in the series, so this is not the first, nor is it likely to be the last. Reuben’s Double Crush and Triple Crush are two good examples of previous releases.
Reuben’s PNW Crush is brewed using ingredients from the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The malt bill includes the likes of Skagit Pilsner, Munich, and Crystal malts while the hops feature Idaho 7, Azacca, Strata, and Mosaic. The result is a hazy IPA with a bright appearance and fruity notes of tangerine and pineapple, with peach hiding but still noticeable in the background. The beer is medium in body and while hoppy overall, it is backed with a bready malt base.
Reuben’s PNW Crush is available at the Seattle tasting rooms and will be distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest. To learn more about this beer and other Reuben’s Brewing products, visit online at www.reubensbrews.com.
