Rogue Ales & Spirits is one of Oregon’s most beloved breweries and a brewing operation we can count on to produce beers of great distinction. Rogue continues its stellar reputation with the release of its latest beer, Shavasana, an Imperial Blonde Ale that is brewed using coconut, granola, and oats.
Named after a word commonplace to the vocabulary of yoga practitioners, Shavasana is a beer made with relaxation in mind; a beer that tastes great after a heavy workout or as a stress reliever at the end of a long day at work. It’s a beer that invokes a feeling of harmony and peace, perfect for those times when you want to lower your level of tension and forget the troubles of the day.
Rogue President Dharma Tamm reiterates the value of Shavasana to anyone who feels the need to unwind.
“Life is a balancing act and we’re all about honoring that balance,” says Tamm. “So we brewed a beer to do just that. Shavasana is the relaxation pose often performed at the end of a yoga class to rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. Just as Shavasana helps you relax and restore after the twists and turns of a yoga class, Shavasana Granola Blonde Ale can help you relax and restore after the twists and turns of life,” Tamm added.
Shavasana is a blonde ale with a certain degree of attitude. The beer is billed as an imperial blonde ale and contains 8 percent alcohol by volume, yet only 13 IBU of bitterness. It is packaged in 22 ounce bomber bottles and on draft. Track it down in stores or taverns near you where Rogue beers are presently sold, starting this month, March 2020.
