Houston, Texas’ own Saint Arnold Brewing is ready to add two new products to the regular lineup: One of them a new beer, the other an addition to the recently expanded cider business.
First on the new release list is Guten Tag, a traditional Bavaria- style lager beer. This beer is brewed in the tradition of a Marzen beer which, as most beer lovers know, is a beer style often associated with the fall season. However, the good guys and gals at Saint Arnold Brewing are not brewing this beer for limited release. It is actually joining the regular lineup and will be available year round, making it one of the very few Marzens from any craft brewery to be sold on an annual basis.
Craft beer fans will love what they taste, as Guten Tag features a malt- forward flavor profile with toasty, bready accents and a subtle hop profile. This agreeable, everyday beer weighs in at 5.8 percent alcohol by volume and contains just 21 IBU of bitterness. It should also be noted that Guten Tag has been brewed and sold by Saint Arnold Brewing in the past when it was part of the 2017 Icon series. Fans and employees alike voiced their strong affection for this beer and Saint Arnold listened, adding it to the regular lineup.

Moving to the cider category, Saint Arnold’s newest addition to the family is Honey Agave Cider. Saint Arnold has partnered with Burleson’s Honey in Waxahachie, Texas to source the honey used for this cider. Adding agave adds another interesting taste dimension and helps to make this cider a little sweeter than most. The final analysis shows 5.9 percent alcohol by volume.
Both of these new beverages will be available in six packs of 12 oz. cans and on tap in some markets. To find out more about these and other Saint Arnold products, visit online at www.saintarnold.com.
