SanTan Brewing, one of Arizona’s best and most popular craft breweries, is set to release a brand new beer; one that builds on the popularity and recipe of an already popular favorite. The new brew is Moonjuice Galactic Grapefruit IPA, a fruity spinoff of SanTan Moonjuice Galactic IPA.
Moonjoice Galactic IPA is one of SanTan’s best and most respected beers. It was already a huge hit with locals and when it was launched into new markets in 2015, its fan based multiplied several times. The success of this beer convinced SanTan Brewing that a modified version of Moonjuice Galactic IPA might also prove successful, and Moonjuice Galactic Grapefruit IPA was born.
This new beer is made using Galaxy and Nelson- Sauvin hops with real grapefruit juice extracted straight from Arizona grown grapefruit. SanTan Brewing founder and brewmaster Anthony Canecchia says the new beer is perfect for coping with the hot, sunny days common in Arizona and other parts of the country.
“Last year we launched a wide release of our highly acclaimed MoonJuice Galactic IPA with much success. Now, we’re launching a grapefruit version of the same deliciously crisp and refreshing IPA, perfect for enjoying in our dry Arizona climate,” said Canecchia.

IPA make up 23 percent of the overall Arizona craft beer market and if SanTanMoonjuice Galactic Grapefruit IPA proves successful, that figure could jump even higher.
