SanTan Brewing of Chandler, Arizona counts several seasonal and regular releases in its impressive lineup. The brewery is not one to miss an opportunity to satisfy its customers and its latest beer does exactly that, fulfilling the needs of New England style IPA fans who want a juicy brew with less bitterness. The new beer is Juicy Jack IPA, a hazy IPA brewed with Mosaic and Cashmere hops with a generous amount of oats for fullness and smoothness.
Anthony Canecchia, SanTan founder and brewmaster, says this new beer was designed to appeal to those who want an IPA with less bitterness.
“We’re always experimenting with new brewing processes that utilize the full flavor and aroma of Cashmere Hops without any of the intense bitterness of traditional IPAs. By adding blonde roasted oats to the grain bill we get a tremendously smooth mouthfeel that bursts with tropical fruity flavors,” said Canecchia. “We’ve seen some hop fatigue happening out there. Fans of the flavor and aroma of IPA’s will really enjoy this brew without the high ABV and bitterness of a traditional IPA. Cashmere and Mosaic hops are added at very specific times and temperatures late in the brew. As with all of our brands, Juicy Jack is brewed with love,” continued Canecchia.
SanTan beers are known for their use of specific characters to represent each beer. Anyone who has popped open a can of SanTan Mr. Pineapple, Sex Panther, Moonjuice, or other style knows that the graphics on each package include a memorable character, or mascot of sorts. This trend will continue with Juicy Jack IPA and its character- a fellow that has been described as a cross between something from Indiana Jones and Starlord.
Juicy Jack IPA boasts a tropical aroma with flavors like peach, guava, and tangerine. The final product contains 6.5 percent alcohol by volume and only 37 IBU of bitterness and it pairs well with burgers, wings, and spicy food dishes.
