Craft beer is big in St. Louis, Missouri and at the top of the craft beer helm is Schlafly Beer. Community- oriented and responsible for brewing many excellent and memorable products, Schlafly is committed to excellence and this insistence on accepting only the best is reflected in its latest personnel change as Fran Caradonna is promoted to CEO.
Caradonna has been with Schlafly Beer for less than one year, but she has 25 years of experience in the craft beer industry and she has definitely made her mark on Schlafly in a relatively short time. Caradonna.started several months back as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer and her leadership skill and industry knowledge impressed all who worked with her, leading to the decision to appoint her as CEO. Emily Parker Lampe, who had been serving as interim CEO, is now Chief of Brewery Operations.
Schlafly Vice Chairman David Schlafly is grateful for Emily’s service and can’t wait for Caradonna to lead the company to new levels of success.
“We are thankful for Emily’s service during this time of transition, and we’re excited to see how she leverages our brewing team’s talents in the future. These appointments usher in a new energy for our brewery. The new leadership will encourage our brewers to showcase their artistry in new ways, offer new reasons to visit our brewpubs, and allow our team to continue to execute destination-worthy events for our city.”
New CEO Fran Caradonna is anxious to get working and make her mark on Schlafly and the St. Louis craft beer scene.
“It is an honor and a privilege to join the Schlafly team at this particular moment in the company’s life, especially given my own career history and experience”, said Caradonna. “What an opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder with the people who have worked together to make Schlafly a great destination in our city, known to have the best beer scene in America!”
Caradonna’s craft beer credentials are widely known among those who work in the local industry. She has served as manager for O’Fallon Brewery; Co- Founder and Vice President of The Signature Beer Company; and Co- Founder and CEO of O’Fallon Brewery, which she built with her former husband. Her experience in craft beer runs the gamut from brewing to managing to distribution and she is more than qualified to lead Schlafly Beer in new and exciting directions in the coming years.
Emily Parker-Lampe has been with Schlafly since 2010 and has served as the head of brewing since early 2018. In her role as Chief of Brewery Operations, she will be responsible for both Schlafly breweries and will manage all of the staff and activity relating to brewing and packaging.
Congrats to Fran Caradonna and Emily Parker-Lampe for their promotions at Schlafly Beer and cheers to the many great years ahead!
