St. Louis Missouri- based Schlafly Beer wants craft beer lovers to ‘open your eyes to a transcendent hop experience’ and the brewery’s latest offering is intended to do exactly that. It’s Hoptic Visions, a 12-pack mixer of hop- forward beers of varying styles, including previous releases and a brand new offering.
Everyone knows that IPA beers emphasize the flavor of hops, but what Schlafly Beer is doing with its new Hoptic Visions is more than just a way to showcase the deliciousness of hops, it is also educational in nature. The brewery wants people to know that hops can be used to accent a wide array of beer styles, as Schlafly Beer Founding brewer Stephen Hale explains.
“The sampler pack showcases the versatility of hop-forward beers,” says Hale. “Many think just of IPAs when it comes to hoppy beers, but we wanted to showcase how hops can enhance different styles as well as add different flavor profiles. These beers highlight everything from fruity and juicy hops to our sessionable IPA.”
Fans of Schlafly beer likely have already tried three of the four Hoptic Vision beers: India Pale Ale, Hoppy Wheat Ale, and India Pale Lager. Joining these three Schlafly favorites is a brand-new offering Hazy Pineapple IPA. This latter brew weighs in at a modest 4.5 percent alcohol by volume and is brewed using experimental hops for a taste that is fruity, a body that is hazy, and a personality that is hoppy all the way.
