St. Louis based Schlafly Beer believes fully that beer can enhance any situation. Schlafly’s annual HOP in the City festival at the Tap Room location, 2100 Locust St., St. Louis, is a prime example of this belief, particularly this year, as Schlafly expands its pleasure- fulfilling mission with a new service. It’s called Hop Hotel Rooms, a beer centered lodging option available to guests who attend the HOP in the City festival on Saturday, September 17.
Schlafly has partnered with St. Louis’ own Lodging Hospitality Management and will present travelers with Hop Hotel Room options at two of its hotel properties, St. Louis Union Station Hotel by DoubleTree and The Cheshire. The rooms will be outfitted with everything from beer chilling in the sink to beer scented soap and more. There will be special beer and food pairings from Cheshire’s Executive Chef Rex Hale who will serve such food dishes as smoked pork ribs with gochujang, pickled radish, and local berries, the perfect pairing for Schlafly Expo IPA, a beer only available in St. Louis. The suites even have beer books available, perfect for post- festival bedside reading.
Schlafly’s Ambasador Brewer Stephen Hale says the idea behind Hop Hotel Rooms is to create a beer lodging nirvana while also encouraging guests from out of town to think of HOP in the City and St. Louis in the broader sense of a beer travel destination.
“There’s something beer-related everywhere you turn in the rooms. We wanted to encourage travelers to make St. Louis a destination for HOP in the City, and there’s no greater way to do that than partner with LHM’s hotels”, said Hale.
Todd Hotaling of Lodging Hospitality Management says the craft beer presence and culture in St. Louis make it ideal as a destination city.
“We are a St. Louis company and very proud of the beer culture here and what it offers enthusiasts from around the globe. We’re excited to partner with Schlafly, and provide guests with an award winning hotel experience, complimented with amenities from the pioneer of the craft beer scene”, said Hotaling.
