Spoetzl Brewery, maker of the popular Shiner Bock, has introduced a new beer with a distinctly Mexican personality. It’s ¡Órale!, a Mexican-Style Cerveza. The beer is crafted using premium 2- row barley malt, lager yeast, and agave for a flavor that soars above and beyond the typical example of this style.

If you’re up on your Spanish, you might already know what the term ¡Órale! means. For the majority of us who don’t know, I will tell you that the term signifies a strong, urgent YES! It is used to convey when something is far greater than the ordinary and you cannot wait to partake.
Mexican beers have been part of the American malt beverage landscape for quite some time. But as tastes continue to mature, consumers are demanding something more. Shiner ¡Órale! is the answer to this request. Mexican- style cerveza is currently a trending craft beer style and Shiner is confident that this easy- drinking session beer will lead even more craft beer fans to embrace this style.
Carlos Alvarez, CEO of Spoetzl Brewery parent company Gambrinus, says this new beer is reflective of the Mexican culture and is something that many in the community will relate to.

Shiner ¡Órale! contains a session- friendly 4.5 percent alcohol by volume. It will be available starting in May, 2022 and will be sold in 6 packs and 12-packs of cans and bottles. Look for it in places where Shiner products are currently sold.
