Sierra Nevada Supports Charity with Dankful IPA

Sierra Nevada Brewing is known for its generosity and community support. Just recently, the Chico, California based brewery announced the release of a generously hopped beer to help support its generous pursuits. The new beer is Dankful IPA and it will help Sierra Nevada raise funds to support a large number of worthy causes.

Dankful IPA is a west coast version of the style and is loaded with pine and tropical goodness. Sierra Nevada plans to use proceeds of the beer to support at least $1 million in charitable donations. However, the donations are not contingent on sales or based only on a portion of sales. Regardless of the public’s embracing of Dankful IPA, Sierra Nevada has committed to at least $1 million in donations. Sierra Nevada Brewing plans to partner with different nonprofits each quarter, making sure to spread its goodwill to a variety of causes.

Sierra Nevada Vice President Sierra Grossman says the partnership with philanthropic causes is a win- win all around.

“With ongoing fundraising through Dankful, we can immediately support those nonprofits doing critical work in our communities by getting them what they need when they need it,” explained Grossman. “Dankful allows us to focus on what we do best: supporting the causes we believe in and brewing great beer.”

First in line happens to be World Central Kitchen. This non- profit is on the front lines of relief, providing more than 25 million meals for families in need of food during the COVID-19 crisis. Through its #ChefsForAmerica program, World Central Kitchen is doing what it can to make sure people don’t go to bed hungry. It’s also helping to create jobs for restaurant workers who, as we know, are among the folks most impacted by COVID-19. Sierra Nevada Brewing has pledged $250,000 to this important cause.

Craft beer is all about community. Sierra Nevada Brewing has been a leader in community support for a long time and through the release of Dankful IPA, the company has made yet another commitment to the betterment of people everywhere.
