Ska Brewing, the Durango, Colorado based craft brewery with an intensely loyal following, proved it knows more than just the art of brewing beer at the 2016 Colorado Manufacturing Awards.
Presented by CompanyWeek Media and Manufacturer’s Edge, the Colorado Manufacturing Awards recognize innovation across multiple categories each year and this year, Ska Brewing was declared the winner in the Beer and Brewing category. The award recognizes much more than simply the quality of the finished product- it also recognizes Ska Brewing as a game changer and brewing industry leader.
The Colorado Manufacturing Awards theme for 2016 is ‘U.S. Manufacturing Competitiveness’ and nominees this year were selected for their ability to transform their respective industries and gain competitive advantage. Ska Brewing was up against tough competition from Avery Brewing and Wild Goose Canning but emerged victorious in the end.
Ska Brewing received accolades for its overachievement in categories such as business performance, innovation, product quality, employee involvement, and workplace culture. Kristen Muraro, Ska’s marketing director, is proud that her company received such high recognition for its commitment to excellence.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as a leader and innovator in manufacturing,” said Muraro. “We are excited to be the winner of our category in the Colorado Manufacturing Awards because we have always strived for excellence, from being early adopters of canning craft beer to designing our own packaging equipment.”
Ska Brewing was founded in 1995 and the company continues to impress, with a solid lineup of outstanding, award- winning beers.
