Great craft beer would be reason enough to head down to Chattanooga Tennessee, but there is more. Delicious food will be served by local eateries such as Big River Grille, Micheal Miller Concessions, Moes, Fire and Smoke, Kenny’s Smokehouse, Lupi’s Pizza Pies, and Jalepeno Corndog. Commemorative t-shirts and other items will be offered for sale and guests can roam freely around the downtown Chattanooga riverfront area where the event is held.
Beer festivals almost always include music and the 17th Annual Southern Brewers Festival is no different. There will be several bands performing throughout the night including Grammy award winning Los Lobos. Other bands strutting their stuff include the New Familiars, Anders Osborne, George porter Jr. and the Runnin Pardners, and Railroad Earth. Los Lobos is the headlining act, of course, and they are scheduled to close out the festivities from 10:30pm to 12am.
The 17th Annual Southern Brewers Festival carries a modest general admission price of $20 per adult, with VIP passes selling for $75 per individual or $125 per couple. The event is completely charitible in nature: All proceeds benefit Kids on the Block, a non- profit organization dedicated to educating children on social concerns and social differences.
The Southern Brewers Festival has been a Chattanooga tradition for nearly two decades and this, the seventeenth edition, is shaping up to be its biggest yet. There is still time to purchase tickets (available through the web site), book a hotel, and enjoy the Southern hospitality of this picturesque and charming southern town on the banks of the Tennessee River.
