CANarchy, the craft brewery collective that includes popular brands such as Oskar Blues, Perrin, Three Weavers, Deep Ellum, Cigar City, Wasatch, and Squatters, is once again showing its commitment to community causes. This time around the brand at the forefront of good deeds is Squatters and the cause is breast cancer research as Squatters partners with the American Cancer Society and its Real Men Wear Pink campaign.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for the second year in a row, Squatters is helping to spread the breast cancer awareness message. The brewery’s top selling beer, Hop Rising Double IPA, will be packaged in pink cans throughout the month and Squatters has pledged 5 cents toward the campaign for every can sold in October. In addition to Hop Rising, Squatters Full Suspension Pale Ale will also take part in the effort, with a donation made for every 12 pack sold.
Squatters Craft Beer Senior Marketing Manager Amy Tangaro is proud that her brewery’s philanthropic efforts have been expanded to include another beer from the lineup.
“We are excited to include an additional Squatters package this year to support the American Cancer Society and generate much-needed funds to combat this devastating disease,” says Tangaro.
Squatters Hop Rising is presently sold in 19 U.S states and the pink cans will be sold throughout the entire distribution footprint. Squatters Full Suspension Pale Ale pink 12-packs will make their way to seven of the nineteen states and are not expected to last long. Squatters Craft Beers Chief Operating Officer Adam Curfew is confident the pink edition cans will be snatched up quickly by consumers anxious to help support the cause.
“Hop Rising and Full Suspension are two of our most-loved and best-performing beers, and the response we had from last year’s ACS campaign was enormous. We’re excited to be partnering again in 2018,” said Curfew.
Squatters Craft Beers participation in the Real Men Wear Pink Campaign is commendable and we at Great Beer Now wish the campaign the absolute highest level of success.. Craft beer fans and others are encouraged to wear pink whenever possible this month to show support to the cause and to get involved in other fundraising efforts.
